‘Cause I’m Leavin’ on a Jet Plane

December 1st, 2007

In a few hours, I’ll be heading down to the Gold Coast Airport to catch Air Asia’s D72703 bound for KUL.

I’m on the verge of officially beginning my 3 month summer hols! Woohoo!

I’m really looking forward to seeing my family and friends back home. One thing that I hate is that I can’t bring much of my books from Australia to catch up on my reading. Not much reading materials available in my Malaysia home sadly. Not the type that I like anyway.

A friend of mine went back a few days ago with the same airline as well, and he wrote in his blog that it was a looooooooooong 8-hour flight. Due to Air Asia being a budget airline, say bye bye to in-flight entertainment folks! For those who hate to read, then it’s going to be an even hell-ish 8 hours for you! :P

Just now, I was torn in deciding which books to bring along with me. At first, I thought “Screw it, let’s just bring 5 thick hardback books.” Then I remembered… The 15Kg baggage weight limit by Air Asia… Crap…

Ok, better finalise everything before leaving. Will update my blog once I’m in Malaysia.

On another issue, I was just checking the US stock market just now. The Dow is currently up by about 50 points due to rumours of further interest rate cut by the US Federal Reserve. Hail the bull!

Enjoy the song “Leaving on a Jet Plane” by Chantal Kreviazuk.

Ding Siew Ting: Thanks. Yes, it was a loooooong flight :P
I haven’t done any capital protected/structured funds posts. I think the closest that you can get on posts about capital protection is ASB and ASD, which is only available for the Bumiputeras. I might have a look at other products within that region. Unfortunately, no, I’m not facebook yet. Will let you know when I am ;)

Ang: I was thinking about the same thing. LON-KUL, how will people cope with that? Haha. My laptop battery tahan 1 hour plus only. Not even enough to finish one movie :P
