Do What You Think is Right

December 7th, 2007

“Do what you feel in your heart is right – for you’ll be criticized anyway. You’ll be damned if you do, and damned if you don’t.”
- Eleanor Roosevelt -

I came across this quote quite a while ago and thought that this is applicable to the journey of wealth-creation.

Think about it.

When you don’t invest, people will criticise you for it.

On the other hand, when you adopt a strategy to invest, there will be thousands of people out there to criticise and say what you’re doing is wrong, that you need to change your approach, and etc. There’s just too many “investment experts” out there.

At the end of the day, when it comes to investment, the first thing that needs to be done is to have a sound financial knowledge, utilise all the resources available to you (such as the use of financial planners, and etc.), and then do what you think is right, for you’ll be criticised either way.
