Sex Education: Daddy, Mummy, what’s a condom?
Talking about sex education, I’ve got a scenario for you.
Do you notice the condoms displayed in 7-Eleven outlets, shopping malls, Kedai Runcit, and etc. They can clearly be seen by adults and children right? Sometimes, they are displayed at the checkout counters!
I was wondering, what if one day, your child happens to notice those condoms and ask you the million-dollar question:
“Daddy/Mummy? What are those?” (asking you in a pretty loud voice while pointing towards the condoms)
How are you going to answer?

Personally, I love books. And I love spending my time at bookstores. Recently, I went to an Angus & Robertson’s outlet and found a rather interesting-and-non-orthodox title. The title was:
How Was I Made?
A first book about sex
I thought, now, that’s interesting! It’s a book about sex… for kids!
After browsing the book, I had to proceed to the checkout counter and purchase myself one. The pictures in the book and the language used…. were just effin hilarious!
Before you continue reading, please be warned that there are a few “naughty” pictures you’re about to see. “Naughty” pictures catered for children that is.

I’ve been tagged by both Irdzra and Cikgu Azleen. Thanks guys! Both tags are pretty similar, which is to list out 8 facts about myself, so I’m going to group them together here.
Here are 8 facts about me:
1. Finds Luna Lovegood in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix extraordinarily charming :D
2. Am not enjoying university one bit. By university, I mean my academic life. Apart from uni, I’m actually enjoying my life.
3. Pretty obsessed with books. I’ve got a few thousand books here with me at the moment. And… no… Haven’t read all of them yet :P

A couple of days ago on Wednesday my university had this thing called The Market Day. On that day, clubs and associations showcased what they can offer to returning and new students this year. In other words, recruiting members.
It was also supposed to be a day for us students to hoard on freebies, gifts, craps, and etc. (then realised that we don’t need those stuff in the first place and threw them into the rubbish bin). Unfortunately, this year was rather disappointing. It was not as “happening” as the previous years!
Filed under Daily Thoughts/Observations | Comments (6)Miss India: Food Food Food!
If you haven’t noticed by now, I love to blog about food. Well, an investor-trader must eat out also right? It’s not all about sitting in front of the screen watching tick charts all day! Haha.
A couple of weeks ago, I went to this place called Miss India. The prices were in my opinion, reasonable. I went with my partner and my partner ordered rice with Tandoori chicken and I ordered Thali (I have no idea what the word actually means).
Due to the food being so good, I have to post up some pictures!
Here’s the rice with Tandoori chicken. Cost? AUD6.50. Look at the massive chicken maryland! Totally worth it.

Now the Thali. Cost? AUD10. It consists of rice, roti, three types of meat curry, and salad.

Do go there when you’ve got the chance (i.e. if you are already in Brisbane or about to go to Brisbane).

IKEA IKEA IKEA! Oi Oi Oi!
A couple of days ago, I went to IKEA Australia for the first time. The only IKEA in Queensland mind you and 1 of 3 in Australia. Can you believe it? Such a huge country but only 3 IKEAs.
As usual, IKEA never ceases to amaze me. It was like a trip to a theme park for me. Hehe. Imagination runs wild. “Ooooh, I want my bedroom like that!” and “That’ll be my home office in the future” and “One day, I’m going to bring 20 thousand dollars to this place and shop till I drop.”
What I did first was browsing around the place for a while (a while means an hour plus I think), then had lunch at the IKEA restaurant. My first ever meal in IKEA and I have to say, I was pretty impressed.
This is what I ate. Fish & Chips that cost me AUD5.50 and soft drinks in a wine glass (free refills by the way) that cost AUD1.50.

Now compare the actual food and the advertised picture below. Finally, a truthful advertisement!

Wow, it’s been a while since I have last updated my blog. Been kind of busy lately.
Anyway, I returned to Australia a few days ago. My flight was on the evening of 23rd January. I arrived on the 24th. As usual, it was a pretty boring and frustrating flight. Nothing to do on board the Air Asia’s D7 2702. Did a bit of reading and most of the time, was trying to sleep. I wonder how some people can just doze off and not wake up for hours!
While the cabin crews were serving the food, I heard some pretty interesting conversation between them. There’s this gal named ‘R‘, she said to the other crew..
“Yang, yang…. I ada bonus question untuk you…”
“Tadi, ada passenger tanya I.. Ni coffee I serve ni instant ke..”
“Dia orang ni… Mesti lah instant… Mana ada masa nak brew coffee masa masa macam sekarang ni..”
Hehe. Ada masa pulak kutuk passengers!
First Taste of Dragonfruit
Today, I had my first taste of dragonfruit. Been a while since I wondered about what sort of fruit it is and how it tastes like. Anybody knows how the fruit came about in Malaysia?
So, I went to the nearest shopping mall yesterday, and got me one. Yeah, one. Why one? Because it cost me a fortune! One dragonfruit will set you back RM3.29 (around AUD1.10).
So, my verdict? It’s not that bad really. Quite nice. I don’t really know how to describe the taste. Fair to say, I didn’t hate it. Though you wouldn’t catch me eating dragonfruits again anytime soon because of the cost factor! Perhaps next time I’ll eat one of these babies is when I grow them myself. Haha.
Here you go, a picture of the fruit.

On another matter, sadly, I still haven’t had lobsters (click to read my sad story) yet… Haih… Tried to convince my parents, but they brought me to some food court selling RM2.50 Cantonese Kuey Teow instead. It’s ok, it’s ok, I’m going to use the Law of Attraction as prescribed in Ronda Byrne’s The Secret to attract some nice luscious lobsters to come to me. Hehe.
By the way, today, I topped up my unit trust investment and invested in some new funds as well. Will write about that sometime tomorrow.
Till then folks…

I’d like to take this opportunity to congratulate the Malaysian SEA Games’ contingent. They have achieved their target of 64 gold medals, plus a bit more. A total of 68 gold medals were achieved as at closing day today and ranked 2nd place overall. Good job fellas!
I dedicate this song to our athletes. Malaysia Boleh!

One thing about Malaysia is the variety of food she offers. Malay food, Chinese food, Indian food, Mamak food. The list goes on.
Spending my holidays in Malaysia, I have embarked on a self-fulfilling journey. I call it, the Fattening-Up-for-University-Hell Program.
The program is simple really. Eat. That’s it. Eat.
A couple of days ago, I patronised this Indian restaurant called Thurkah’s Restaurant located at Taman Melawati, KL. I think, the last time I ate there was a couple of years ago. I highly recommend this place.
What did I have?
Filed under Daily Thoughts/Observations | Comment (1)Battling Corruption within our Nation
First of all, this might sound like a silly idea, but just hear me out alright?
Before that, let’s consider this situation. Most would agree that one tends to work a bit harder if he/she works on a commission-based service. People like car salesmen, unit trust consultants, and etc.
Let’s have a look at that matter in the context of our Polis DiRaja Malaysia.
Now, it is alleged that the corruption within our Police Force (Polis DiRaja Malaysia) is rampant. I said ALLEGED because I myself have not experienced this, so I can’t say for sure whether it is true or not.
Anyway, I’ve got an idea on how to battle corruption.

Man, that sounds huge doesn’t it?
I went to the Malaysia Mega Property Showcase last Sunday at the Putra World Trade Center (PWTC) to keep myself up to date with the latest on-goings of the Malaysian property market.
Sad to say, I was MEGA-ly dissapointed.

I was reading an entry a fellow blogger wrote on her blog Magical Milestone and it made me wonder.
It made me wonder about the state of world we are living in at the moment.
She wrote about her aunt-in-law being a victim of theft recently. It was broad daylight at a public are when she and her daughter was approached by 3 men pretending to ask for directions. One of them then took out a knife and slashed her and her daughter. Luckily, there were good samaritans around to help them. It was also fortunate that nothing was taken.

Have you ever had any lobsters for a meal? I haven’t!
I’ve always wanted to try lobster. Just that, lobster dishes can get really really expensive. If I’m not mistaken, Baked Lobster costs about RM100 at Victoria Station?
When I was in college, I had an idea. Eating lobsters at a restaurant would be too expensive. So, I thought, why not rear lobsters instead!
My plan was, get baby lobsters, get an aquarium, grow them.
