My Lobster Project

Have you ever had any lobsters for a meal? I haven’t!
I’ve always wanted to try lobster. Just that, lobster dishes can get really really expensive. If I’m not mistaken, Baked Lobster costs about RM100 at Victoria Station?
When I was in college, I had an idea. Eating lobsters at a restaurant would be too expensive. So, I thought, why not rear lobsters instead!
My plan was, get baby lobsters, get an aquarium, grow them.
Immediately, I went to Petsworld and got one blue lobster and one red lobster. Thus begin my journey of “rearing lobsters to be cooked” project.
However, I forgot one little information. Taking care of lobsters require time… and money! I forgot that I was only going to spend a year at college and then fly away to Australia.
After a while, I realised that to transform baby lobsters into giant lobsters takes a few years. Well, there goes my dream!
To make matters worse, a few months later, the air pump for the aquarium died and I was not aware of this until it was too late. I tried to rescucitate Pinchy and Punchy (no, not their real names), but to no avail. They’ve gone to lobster heaven…
Proper burial rites were administered…. by flushing them down the loo… Just kidding! ;)
That was the end of my lobster project.
This was a few years ago and up until now, I still haven’t tasted lobsters. *Hint hint*
Moral of the story:
Before committing yourself to a project, do a cost and benefit analysis and determine whether the project is viable or not :P
