Mohd Saiful Bukhari’s Blog Demi Allah, Agama, Bangsa, Dan Negara (Kes Liwat? Sodomy Case?)
Everybody blogs nowadays. Even Mohd Saiful Bukhari, who was allegedly sodomised by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has his own blog.
Last I checked, there were only three posts.
Anyway, his blog is located at http://mohdsaifulbukhari.blogspot.com .

A number of days ago in the Dewan Rakyat, an issue of scholarships for the bumiputras was discussed. A lot of MPs were worried of the dwindling numbers of bumiputras receiving scholarship.
Well, that’s not what I want to discuss about here.
What I want to discuss is the issue about the criteria of students receiving those scholarships. I can’t give you the exact quote of what Datuk Seri Nazri said but it sounded like this:

Part 1 is located here…
A panel posed a question to Datuk Shabery regarding government’s action a number of years ago to increase petrol prices by 30 cents in which he wanted to know where the money saved from that decision went to. It was said that the money was supposed to be used to improve our public transportation facilities. If I remember correctly, Datuk Shabery failed to answer this. I myself am interested to know. To me, the same problems that we had a number of years ago are still present to this day. Why weren’t there any improvements? How was the money spent? Click to Continue Reading

Watching the first ever gentlemen duel between two of Malaysia’s top political figures, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Datuk Shabery Cheek, I couldn’t help taking down some notes to be used as materials for my blog.
My notes were really long but for the purpose of readability (if it was too long, people are going to doze off!), I’ll break them into a few parts…

Video Penuh Debat Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim VS Datuk Ahmad Shabery Cheek
I watched the delayed live telecast of the debate between Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Datuk Ahmad Shabery Cheek just now on TV3.
I’m now looking for the full video from the internet. If I’m not mistaken, TV3 said it’ll be on their website http://www.tv3.com.my but I can’t seem to find it. Perhaps, they have not uploaded it on the web yet?
Anyway, I think it’s fair to say that Datuk Ahmad Shabery Cheek did exceptionally well, considering Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is an amazing orator.
I might comment on the debate in a bit.

Kenaikan Harga Minyak Malaysia ke RM2.70 (41%)! Apa ni Pak Lah?
I’m sure you all are WELL VERSED of the recent petrol price hike at the bowser by 41%. Boy, if my investments jumped up 41% in a single session, I myself would be JUMPING!
I’ve been wanting to comment on this issue for a while now. I just couldn’t find the time to do so. Been pretty busy with examinations and all, so, no full-blown articles till then. By then, it’ll be “berita basi” anyway.

I just found out that our former PM Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad has just started his own blog.
I’ve had a roller coaster relationship (not that I know him personally but more like how I felt towards Dr. M :P ) with him these past years. I used to like him, then hate him, and ultimately have an utmost respect towards Tun Mahathir.
It’d be interesting to delve into his thoughts on the going-ons of Malaysia.
Here’s his blog:

Due to the recent “downfall” of Barisan Nasional in our beloved Malaysia, a lot of Barisan Nasional’s leaders have acknowledged the power and influence of blogs and bloggers, and now, they have opted to own blogs themselves.
So much for Khairy Jamaluddin calling bloggers BERUK and Azalina Othman labelling bloggers as PENGECUT.
Tu la, korang jangan pandai-pandai cakap benda-benda mcm tu. Sekarang dah ramai ketua-ketua BN ikut masuk Persatuan Beruk Pengecut.
Anyway, here are some of the blogs authored by Barisan Nasional’s folks:

Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad (Dr. M) akan naik semula jadi Perdana Menteri? Dr. M rising to become the Prime Minister again?
Hell no! Tun Mahathir is not going to take the Prime Ministership again. Not in a million years. Even when asked the question of whether he will be returning to active politics, he replied, “I won’t return to active politics but if they want advice, I can give them. How can I return when once I stepped down they treated me like a pariah?” (Source: Malaysiakini.com)
Wanting to become the next Lee Kuan Yew I see. Tak payahlah Tun. Buat sakit hati je.
In fact, our ‘beloved’ Abdullah Badawi, or Pak Lah, has sworn in this morning at 11 a.m. He is officially the Prime Minister of Malaysia. I watched the news (TV3 and NTV7) just now and I could have sworn I saw a tinge of disappointment on Agong’s face. Meh, maybe it’s just me.
So, there you go, another 5 years of Pak Lah, assuming there won’t be a coup within UMNO’s factions.
Anyway, talking about that, there were groups who called for a protest in front of the Istana Negara to object Pak Lah’s appointment. Haih.. Dah lah tu! It’s only been a few days. Takkanlah every single time pun tak agree, street protest, street protest, street protest. Apa ni. Barisan Rakyat has achieved so much already, go get some rest, gather yourself, and prepare to govern the states that have been won. Remember the promises that were made to the Rakyat. Plus, street demonstrations are illegal in the first place.

Pilihan Raya Umum ke-12 Malaysia (12th General Election) in “The Australian” Newspaper
At uni today, I picked up today’s edition of “The Australian” newspaper and to my surprise, an article about our Pilihan Raya Umum ke-12 was on the front page! Who would have thought huh? A big photo of Nurul Izzah Anwar, and two smaller photos of Abdullah Badawi (Pak Lah) and Anwar Ibrahim decorated “The Australian”. Really, who cares about Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. Who cares about Kevin Rudd (Australia’s PM) and his government. Today, Malaysia is more important!
Here’s a photo.

Now a closer snapshot of the article.
