How to utilise one’s life?

If you were going to spend a mighty proportion of your life doing something, would you rather be doing something that you like and passionate about even if you need to be facing some extra hardships and pain?

Perhaps choosing what you like doesn’t apply at all? Perhaps choosing the most stable and safest option is the way to go?

One might argue that we need to make some sacrifices in our lives and we are sometimes faced with the challenge of not being able to do what we want to do. However, the need to go through the hardships and pain in the pursuance of your passion is a sacrifice in itself, no?

Here are five reasons why I think you need to buy a car when you’re studying overseas

1. Submit Assignment

Instead of submitting your assignment well in advance, to factor in the amount of time you need to take public transportation and as such, you can now submit your assignment 10 minutes before the time it is due. This is very true in the case of a friend of mine. Her assignment is due at 4PM and I had to drive her to uni at 3.50PM for her to hand in the assignment 😛

Steve Jobs’ Inspiring Speech (Stanford University 2005 Commencement Address)

Thanks to Boo for introducing this very inspiring video to me. It’s the video from YouTube of Steve Jobs’ (Apple Computers & Pixar Animation Studios) 2005 Stanford University Graduation Commencement Address/Speech.

I certainly could relate to pretty much 90% of what was said by Steve Jobs (besides the death part of course).

Microsoft’s Bill Gates no longer world’s richest man

Guess what folks? Bill Gates has been dethroned and no longer the richest man on earth, after maintaining that spot for 13 straight years. He is now in third place.

Warren Buffett overtook him and became the richest man on earth with USD 62 billion. Second place was secured by Mexico’s Telecom Mogul Carlos Slim Helu with USD60 billion.
