Mengikut Dr. Mahathir, Ekonomi Dunia Makin Tenat (Malaysia Kini)

Read the article here.

According to Dr. Mahathir, the world’s economy is worsening day by day. Things are getting from bad to worse. He also said that Malaysia will be affected, whether we like it or not.

My opinion: Indeed, I don’t think we’re out of the shits just yet. One by one, giant companies are falling like flies. Bad news are announced consistently.

For the past couple of weeks however, things might seemed to be stabilising a little bit but I am still skeptical. Some experts are saying that a base is forming in the stock market, but I’m still not convinced. I still think that the bears are still in control. Boy oh boy I hope I’m wrong.

Discussing Amanah Saham Bumiputera’s (ASB) Maximum Amount Above RM200,000. Whether you can withdraw your money and deposit back or not.

My original understanding was that, the maximum principal that can be deposited into my Amanah Saham Bumiputera (ASB) account is RM200,000 and if the balance goes beyond and that and withdrawn, you can’t deposit the money back (up to the threshold of RM200,000).

Costs of running a car in Australia (Should I call Australia or Malaysia as home?)

The post relating to the costs of running a car in Malaysia is located here.

I only have an experience with running the car as stated below. As such, I will resort to using figures based on that car.

Costs of running a car in Malaysia (Should I call Australia or Malaysia as home?)

In making the decision to either continue on staying in Australia or return to Malaysia, I have got to consider a number of things. One of them is to look at the costs of running and maintaining a car in both countries.

In this instance, we’ll look at a Proton Saga 1.3. As I have no experience whatsoever in maintaining a car in Malaysia, I have to use a lot of assumptions here. So, if you have much more accurate figures, do share with all of us yeah?

Should I work in Malaysia or Australia? (Should I call Australia or Malaysia as home?)

The dreaded moment will soon arrive. I’ll be graduating hopefully by the end of this year. Questions upon questions of what’s going to happen and what am I going to do arise.

Before, I was so certain of getting my Permanent Residency in Australia, setting up my abode over there, get a job/set up a business, then only come back to Malaysia. Now however, with all the mumbo-jumbo about the financial crisis and other what-not, I am now not so sure anymore.

Maklumat tentang Askar Wataniah. Information about the Malaysia’s Territorial Army.

One thing I noticed is that it is so hard to get any information whatsoever about Malaysia’s Askar Wataniah from the web. There’s nothing much on the Ministry of Defence’s website as well.

Recently, I asked somebody who is already in the Askar Wataniah to provide me with some information about the organisation. If I’m not mistaken, she’s a Sergeant in the Askar Wataniah and according to her, she has recruited quite a few youths to join the organisation.

I’ve decided to publish the information that I received below so that it may be of use to others out there who are interested.

Can I still achieve what I plan to achieve by the time I’m 30?

Truly, the global financial crisis that we are facing right now is taking a toll on me.

My unit trust investment with Public Mutual is down around 35%, and my CFD trading activities is crippling. I’m still making money with CFD but my bank balance is advancing very very slowly. One day I’m up a few hundred dollars and the next day, I’m down a few hundred dollars. I made a loss last quarter but it’s getting better this quarter (I hope). Whatever it is, my trading performance is beating my unit trust investment performance but of course, I can’t be comparing them two. It’s like comparing apples and oranges.

My holiday is coming to a rapid end… Dah nak kena balik dah…

Aku dah nak pulang ke Brisbane hari Ahad ni setelah sebulan bercuti. Rasa cepat sungguh. Dulu, masa nak pulang ke Malaysia, aku rasa malas je. Ya lah, risau kena “barrage of questions” pasal universiti, bila nak “graduate”, dan lain-lain.
