I only have an experience with running the car as stated below. As such, I will resort to using figures based on that car.
Type of car: Holden Astra 1.8 Manual Transmission
Price of car: AUD12,000 (Second Hand)
Car Registration: AUD700 per year
Insurance: AUD 370 per year (Third Party Property Fire & Theft according to Budget Direct)
Petrol: AUD200 per month
Servicing: AUD400 per year
Repairs: Set aside AUD2,000 per year for those once in a blue moon repairs.
